The best way to use Twitter for social media marketing and advertising is to not use twitter.comTo make the most of Twitter...

Stop using Twitter!

OK - I took some liberties with the title of this article to get your attention.

We are not actually suggesting that you stop using Twitter altogether — just stop using Twitter.com.

Let's be honest... it's just not easy to do all the things you need to do with Twitter's online app.  Although Twitter.com has made some major upgrades recently, it still lags way behind the likes of its Twitter client peers, such as TweetDeck, HootSuite, Tweetie, and more.

So, if you're serious about using Twitter for business or personal use, check into a Twitter client.

To help you choose which Twitter client is right for you, we've created a chart that illustrated the popularity versus the actual use of various Twitter clients using the statistics provided from twitstat.com.

View the chart illustrating the popularity vs. actual use of
 various Twitter clients.

We've also assembled a chart that compared the various features of the top Twitter clients to help you determine which application is best for you.

View and download the free chart comparing the most popular Twitter clients, Twitter online applications and Twitter mobile apps.
